SUMMARY:Membership Meeting (3 Layout Tours Schoolcraft Area)
DESCRIPTION:Local Layout Tours in November\nOur program for November is to visit three of our best local area layouts.\n•\nOur first stop at 9:30 AM is at Rick Garthe’s layout\, located at 6737 TEXAS DR. Rick has a multi-scale HO and Lionel layout that is battery operated with wide aisles. (Note: this is a schedule change as Jim Fankhauser had a conflict in his schedule)\n•\nOur next stop at approximately 10:30AM is at Greg Stonerock’s located at 9344 S 8TH ST. Greg models the Duluth\, Missabi & Iron Range\, MN. in HO scale.\n•\nOur final stop on the tour at approximately 11:30 AM is at Bill Nichol’s layout located at 5746 West VW Ave\, Schoolcraft\, MI\, (west of Schoolcraft on VW\, off of 131). Kevin Kizer & Sheila Nichols will be our hosts when we tour Bill’s Boston & Maine layout. This is rather large layout\, that is signaled controlled by the Dispatcher’s Desk. Operators must call into the Dispatcher for permission to move.\nEach of these layouts is unique and interesting and will make for an enjoyable Saturday morning.\nAll layouts have plenty of parking spaces and are relatively close to one another.\nBoth Rick and Greg layouts are handicap accessible.\nThanks to Rick Garthe for taking Jim Fankhauser’s place on the schedule.

SUMMARY:Membership Meeting - Mid-Michigan Railroad Facilities in Turkeyville\, Mi.
DESCRIPTION:Mid-Michigan Railroad Facilities in Turkeyville\, Mi. \nTime of meeting: 10:00 am \nThe Mid-Michigan Railroad is a club like many other except their models are considerably larger than a typical O\, HO or N scale.\nWe will actually be able to ride the trains\, tour their facilities and train layout. Most likely some of their members will bring their own locomotives and cars. From what we know they have lots of stories that they are more than willing to share with visitors willing to listen. They have a Grand Elk RR caboose which was donated to the club. We expect to learn about the club operations\, their size and their future plans. Members should plan to arrive at 10:00AM \nFor more information click on the link below:\nMID MICHIGAN RAILROAD CLUB – Home
